About Us
ThumbRocker embodies the idea that “Necessity is the mother of invention.”
For years, I've played bass with my thumb anchored on top of the pickup. It's my go-to technique, but the narrow pickup surface often left my thumb sore and cramped.
As a design engineer, I knew there had to be a better way. A birthday 3D printer gave me the means to turn that frustration into a solution.
And that's how ThumbRocker was born: a practical, 3D-printed thumb rest designed to provide comfort and stability right where you need it most.
CAD Design
We use advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools to develop, refine, and customize our ThumbRocker designs. This allows us to fine-tune dimensions, optimize fit, and create practical solutions for a variety of bass guitars and pickup configurations.
Every design starts with a purpose: providing a comfortable, functional thumb rest that fits the intended application.
3D Printing
We use 3D printing to bring our designs to life, allowing us to quickly refine designs, make modifications, and develop new solutions. This manufacturing method also gives us the flexibility to offer a variety of materials and color options, helping us create ThumbRockers that suit different basses and player preferences.
